History
We are quite mature for a ten year old. From our first days, we have strived to be dedicated, uncompromising, vertically integrated, innovative and environmentally conscious. Each year we add a piece of the puzzle that builds upon those pillars.
Here are some highlights from the past decade:
- 1998
Armed with a business plan and a dream, Divine founder, Carlos Soares begins extensive market research, evaluation of potential manufacturers and forms a team of hardwood specialists.
- 1999
Divine is born and we partner with environmentally conscious, quality driven manufacturers that buy-in to our direct approach. The Calgary showroom opens.
- 2001
Our patience and dedication pays off. Consumer demand increases exponentially.
- 2003
To be fully vertically integrated, we reinvest in ourselves and open a 500 square foot custom wood working shop. No more outsourcing.
- 2004
A custom, web-based Operating System is built that gives us the competitive advantage and quality control we need for the future.
- 2006
We take the QE II North and open a showroom in Edmonton.
- 2008
Our growth spurt continues. The Vancouver show room opens.
