Cross Iron Mills Mall in Balzac, Alberta

Divine Hardwood Flooring is proud to have been awarded the contract for the floor installation at the Balzac Mall (Cross Iron Mills Mall). The Vice President of Cross Iron Mills mall along with their General contractor Ledcor Corp. did all their homework for this floor. The bid was between Divine and another significant competitor in the wood flooring industry in Calgary and after completing their research, visiting both company operations and flooring installations, the mall ownership and General contractor decided Divine was the right choice for the job.

There was over 2500 man hours put into the installation of this floor. We installed 1670 sheets of plywood and installed 53, 450 square feet of various wood species and grades such as Maple, Red Oak, White Oak, Brazilian Cherry & Walnut. All these species came together in an array of patterns, curves, circles and walk ways all custom cut. Massive radius’ of wood were made at our custom wood shop and fit on site. Once the installation was complete, our skilled sand & finishing crews arrived to site to start the tedious task of sanding and finishing one wing of the mall at a time.  It was all complete in 75 days and completed before our deadline schedule; from the first chalk line we snapped on the bare concrete floor to the last stroke of the applicator with finish.
