50% of cork is comprised of air cells which are trapped in small pockets. These pockets slow the transfer of heat giving an insulating factor which means natural warmth underfoot.
Cork reduces noise and vibration.
Naturally produces a substance called Suberin. Suberin protects the cork against insects, mold, and rotting when subjected to moisture for long periods of time. It is naturally fire resistant and does not release any toxins when it burns.
Quick and easy to install using a direct glue-down method or floating installation. In both installations, it can be applied over many existing floor coverings without the mess of removal.
